Price matrix
Daybook - Web Accounting and CRM

The Price Matrix is there to make sure that your clients automatically get the right price for them on any given product, service or contract and - the mirror image - to monitor what you should be paying your suppliers - and make sure that you do.

The Price Matrix is especially valuable if your clients fall into broad classifications that attract different pricing - trade, education, charity, corporate, retail, and so on - but it also lets you define quantity discounts, individual pricing, promotional prices and so on. And, since there are always exceptions to every rule, the PM manages them too.

Suppose that you are a computer reseller. You might have a deal with a particular supplier which says that you always get 10% discount on computer consumables bought from them. Similarly, you might know that you always give 10% discount to charities on those consumables, regardless of where they came from. But maybe there are a couple of charities to whom you give 15% discount. And perhaps there are a couple of consumable manufacturers that fall outside this rule, where discount is not possible, unless the charity is ordering over 20 units.

The rules can be as complex or as simple as you like - the Price Matrix will handle them all.

And finally, when you have sold your product, and the client wants to put it under contract, the PM will handle all your support pricing structure. You can have as many contract types as you like, all with different rules on pricing. Again, the Price Matrix manages them all.
