The Daybook Healthcheck

The Daybook Healthcheck is a programme in which a DayBook technician will visit your office and:

* Check your DayBook system
* Make sure you have a suitable maintenance and backup strategy.
* Discuss what your options are when things go wrong.

This scheme supplements your normal support facilities: Daybook technicians will regularly check your Daybook Enterprise, Modulus or Daybook Publisher system for optimum working. Checks include the following:

1. Are your operating system and 4D-client/server up to date, for best system performance?
2. Are any indexes or records damaged?
3. What do utilities such as 4D Tools and DataCheck reveal?
4. Can you export all data and reimport in a clean file, if necessary?
5. Is your backup working properly?
6. Does a recovered backup work properly?
7. Does your administrator know how to recover data in case of data damage?
8. Can you integrate work done since your last backup without having to re-enter data?
9. What steps can be taken to avoid server crashes?
10. Can you limit server downtime to less than 20 minutes, no matter what happens?
11. Enterprise customers only: is remote backup correctly configured and working?
12. Enterprise customers only: are you getting the best from the built-in data checking features?
